Imagine a repeated pattern with very little variation. Perhaps the ticking of a clock. It is so simple and trite that your mind begins to filter it out. The ticking continues and your attention begins to wander. You think about something else, and pretty soon you can't even hear the clock and its incessant, redundant ticking. You crave stimulation. You want life to surprise you. You want life to amuse you. You want to be delighted. You want an alternative. So maybe you turn to drugs, violence, strange sexual practices, body modification, extreme sports, pornography, crime. These alternatives are provided for you, within the system. Someone already thought of them many years ago. But you'll do anything to avoid having to listen to that ticking of the clock. You are bored. You cannot sit still. You want to escape. You want a life that is more dangerous and edgy. You don't want life to have a simple answer. You want to feel alive and engaged. You want to rebel and defy the predictable ending to the movie that is your life. im an ex hockey goalie with no visible superpowers. im ecclectic in my tastes i like many different things and consider myself adventurous, easygoing, considerate, honest and caring. i am diabetic so i cant drink but i like to go out. i gained alot of weight in the last few years as a result of my diabetes and ballooned up to 305 lbs but with diet and exercise i lost 125 lbs and got down to a much healthier 180 lbs. i try to work out every day. i will try anything and continually look for new and exciting activities to 'broaden my horizons'. The day we stop learning is the day we stop living. Satchel Paige said it best when he said "work like ya dont need the money, love like ya never been hurt, and dance like no ones watching". i have a tendency of wearing my heart on my sleeve, being a hopeless romantic, and believing that love conquers all. hasnt gotten me very far in life yet lmao. im ambitious and motivated but not so much that i cant take time to "stop and smell the roses" although life experiences should constitute me being cynical, i still can find some beauty or good in everybody. im a robot programmer and travel for work probably far too frequently (ive spent more nights in hotel rooms last year then in my own bed) my picture is from my last job in mexico. i know who i am, what i want, where im going, and how to get there. i dont take credit for my accomplishments, but accept full responsibility for my mistakes. im an audiophile by nature and appreciate many types of music. i try to treat everybody i meet the same whether its the bathroom attendant or the queen of England.i treat everybody the same way i would like to be treated. i think before i speak (better to appear an idiot then to open your mouth and remove all doubt)i can appreciate what i have before its gone. im a glass is half full kinda guy. i can see a little good in everything bad and a little bad in everything good(yin yang). i believe in Karma. i have a tremendous amount of patience. i am not so quick to rush to judgement.i believe everybody has at least one redeeming quality. i have a long attention span and have been know to stick with things probably longer than i should have. im not easily discouraged and dont ever give up on anything worth fighting for. everything of value i have ever gained in my life was by committing to taking a chance..i have a voracious sexual appetite with much stamina. i am an unselfish giver with an oral fixation. i dont know everything that turns me on yet but i am trying to discover what they are. im open to just about anything.
